LG Mobile Phones this week announced that all its future LG handsets will feature color displays, regardless of the model (entry-level, mid-tier, high-end, etc.)

The announcement was tucked away in the announcement of the VX3200 (click to view photo), a color-screen, clamshell style handset that includes features like a speaker phone, voice-activated dialing and support for Enhanced Messaging Service (and amazingly, no digital camera).

The VX3200 will cost $39.99 (after a $50 rebate), but you also have to sign up for a two-year service contract. The device has up to 3.3 hours of talk time, and standby time up to 7.5 days, LG said. Other features include CMX MIDI for polyphonic ring tones (along with 36 included ring tones), Short Message Service support, external USB support, speed dialing for 99 entries, 300-contact phone book, personal organizer, and customizable wallpapers. The phone is also TTY/TDD capable and E911 capable, LG said.
