Freecom Technologies this week announced four new USB-based external drive devices that will soon be available in the U.S. market. Freecom will show off the deivces at the upcoming RetailVision 2004 trade show, the company said.
Products include Freecom's Classic Hard Drive, a low-noise external USB 2.0 hard drive with storage capabilities of 80G-, 120G- and 160G-bytes; the Classic HDD SL, an external USB 2.0 hard drive in a slim design with a 40G-byte capacity; the FHD-XS 1.8-inch hard drive (pictured, click here to view), a small bus-powered external USB 2.0 drive with an integrated USB 2.0 cable and 40G bytes of space; and the FS-50 Multi-Super DVD Drive, a 4x-speed DVD+/-R/RW USB 2.0 bus-powered external drive. The slimline version of this hard drive includes an integrated battery pack, Freecom said.
The company also planned to show off its recently launched 2.5-inch FHD-2 PRO drive, an external hard drive with one-button data synchronization. The FHD-2 PRO comes in storage capacities of 20G-, 40G- or 80G-bytes. For more details on the company's products, go to the Freecom Web site.
