Toshiba this week launched two new notebooks (click to view) aimed at students and "cost-conscious consumers." The Satellite A45-S151 and A45-S121 include features such as a built-in DVD/CD-RW combination drive and surround sound TruSurround XT technology.
The A45-S151 includes a Mobile Intel Pentium 4 processor at 2.8GHz, a 60G-byte hard drive, 512M bytes of RAM, a 15-inch XGA display (supports 1,024 by 768 resolution), integrated DVD/CD-RW combination drive, modem, Ethernet and 802.11g wireless LAN connectivity, four USB 2.0 ports and Microsoft Office OneNote 2003. It runs on Windows XP Home Edition and starts at $1,399.
The A45-S121 includes an Intel Celeron processor at 2.8GHz,, a 40G-byte hard drive, 256M bytes of RAM, a 15-inch XGA display, integrated DVD/CD-RW drive, modem, Ethernet, four USB 2.0 ports and Microsoft Office OneNote 2003. It runs on Windows XP Home Edition and starts at $1,049.
The notebooks are available now through the Toshiba Direct Web site and other places that notebooks are sold.
