Sharp Systems of America this week launched two new LCD monitors; one aimed at professional designers, and another one aimed at consumers and other business users.
The 20-inch UXGA resolution (1,600 by 1,200 pixels) LL-T2015 monitor has a 16ms response time, and features an 8-bit gamma correction for finer reproductions of gradiations, Sharp says. The monitor's high resolution and other features are aimed at computer-aided design (CAD) development applications, the company added. The monitor includes both analog and digital video inputs, a 250-nit brightness, a 400:1 contrast ratio and horizontal and vertical viewing angles of 176 degrees. The monitor is available now, and will cost about $1,300.
The 19-inch LL-191A has an SXGA (1,280 by 1,024 pixels) resolution, also with a 16ms response time. The LL-191A features a 500:1 contrast ration, has 220 nits of brightness, two built-in stereo speakers, and a horizontal and vertical viewing angle of 160 degrees. The monitor features different display modes, including "office," "vivid" and "standard" with different brightness settings and color display features. The monitor will cost about $700, and is available now, Sharp says.
