Sharp Systems of America today launched two new LCD monitors -- the LL-T17D4 ($499) and the LL-171A ($479). The 17-inch LCD monitors are both available now from the Sharp Systems Web site.

Sharp-17-LCD-sm.jpgThe LL-T17D4 is a professional monitor that includes height and tilt adjustments for ergonomic support, built-in stereo speakers, SXGA (1,280 by 1,024 pixels) resolution support, a 250-nit brightness and 430:1 contrast ratio. Sharp says the monitor offers three different viewing modes -- Office (lower brightness and reduced power consumption); Vivid (for viewing photos); and Standard (for displaying colors from the original sRGB standard of liquid crystal panels). The monitor also can accept input from two different computers (it has an analog 15-pin connector and a DVI-I connector) -- either two analog computers can share the monitor, or one each with a digital and an analog output.

The LL-171A (pictured) supports SXGA resolution, has a 430:1 contrast ratio, built-in speakers and a built-in AC power adapter. The monitor has a 170-degree horizontal and 150-degree vertical viewing angle. The system has 250 nits of brightness and a 20 ms response rate, Sharp says. This system also offers three different viewing modes, similar to the LL-T17D4. It also has an automatic screen adjustment feature, which adjusts the clock, phase and screen position for the monitor.
