As part of its Centrino technology push, Intel wants companies and consumers to see the benefits of wireless computing. As such, the company is planning its One Unwired Day for Thursday, Sept. 25 in cities across the U.S. The plan is to offer free public wireless Internet access through thousands of different locations. The company is also holding One Unwired Day festivals in New York (South Street Seaport), Chicago (North Riverside Plaza), San Francisco (Justin Herman Plaza) and Seattle. The festivals will include concerts, product demonstrations and prize giveaways, including notebooks, wireless networking products from Linksys, and Wayport wireless access cards.
