Motion Computing this week said it has a new full-sized keyboard that attaches to its line of Tablet PCs. The Hardtop Keyboard lets users take their tablets and make it look and feel more like a notebook / desktop computer, the company said.
The keyboard snaps onto the front of the Motion M1200 or M1300 Tablet PC to protect the screen. To use the keyboard, the owner just unsnaps the keyboard, connects it to the tablet via USB cable, and positions the tablet for either portrait or landscape viewing, Motion Computing said. The keyboard can also be attached to the back of the tablet, or left off altogether.
The keyboard weighs about one pound, and includes a pointing stick, mouse buttons and an adjustable tablet stand. It costs $99 as an upgrade to a new tablet purchase, or $129.99 as an add-on for existing tablet customers. Go to the Motion Computing Web site for more details.
