Brother recently announced that its new PT-2600 electronic label maker could now work with Avery label cassettes, through a joint project with Avery Dennison. The labeler can now print a single Avery address label, return address label, or file folder label, Brother said. The PT-2600 can also print Brother's P-touch laminated labels for organizing files, cables or anything else with a variety of colors and tape widths.
The PT-2600 can run as a stand-alone labeler or as a desktop computer-attached device (via USB, support for PC and Macintosh available). When connected to a computer, Brother says the device can import graphics, logos and other information from databases, as well as producing bar codes for labels. The device has a typewriter-style keyboard, and a 2-line, 10-character LCD display, and prints in eight fonts, 10 styles and eight different styles, Brother said.
At Brother's Web store, the PT-2600 costs $129.95. Brother also recently announced a $30 rebate on the PT-2600, click here for more details.
