Fujifilm announces 1GB USB drive

Fujifilm’s Computer Products Division announced it will begin shipping its Fujifilm USB Drive 2.0, with storage capacities up to 1G bytes, in August. The drive will cost about $499, the company said.

Fuji-USB1G.jpgThe new USB 2.0 Drives will be available in 128M-, 256M- and 512M-bytes as well, the company said. Smaller capacities, including 32M-bytes and 64M-bytes, will only be offered as USB 1.1 drives.

The drive will ship with a mini CD-R disk that includes a driver for Windows 98 or 98SE systems. The drives will also support Macintosh environments (OS 8.6, OS 9 and higher). For more information on the drives, go to the Fujifilm USB Drive Web site.
