Epson America recently announced its PowerLite 30c, a portable LCD projector aimed at the SOHO, educational and home entertainment enthusiast market. The 6.4-lb. projector costs about $1,299, offers 800 lumens, an SVGA-native resolution (800 by 600 pixels), and a 400:1 contrast ratio.

EpsonPL30c.jpgEpson says the PowerLite30c is compatible with RGB, composite, S-video and component video input options. The projector also has a cinema filter that "enhances movie images for an authentic theater feeling," Epson says. Advanced features include 15-degree digital keystone correction and Epson's SizeWise resizing technology, which gives support to notebooks up to 1,024 by 768 resolution. On-screen help is also included.

For presentation tips, tools, templates, clip art and services, users can visit Epson's Presenters Online Web site. For more information on the projector, go to the regular Epson Web site.

Recently a friend bought me a Power lite projector. I am living in Thailand and seem to be having trouble with the product. I am able to switch it on but cannot switch it off. I just dont seem to be able to get it to work at all....does it have a special lock switch. Yes, I have a special adaptor so that is not the problem. Could you please email me as soon as possible with the instructions to my problem. Thankyou................GianCarlo
