The 10 companies we've selected for our 2003 Start-ups to Watch Award cover a broad range of network technologies, from advanced security to wireless LAN switching. They typically also have respected founders with solid footing in the network industry, confident financial backers, and, especially, innovative technology to solve pressing business needs. Their  early adopters are excited about their potential for easing building, managing and securing enterprise networks. All this, and more, makes these start-ups worth watching.
