Atomz.com is a Web design firm that provides you with a search facility on your Web site - they do it for you!

Atomz.com's Web spider crawls on and indexes your content. You simply put a link to a customized search page on the Atomz.com site on your Web site and that's it. Atomz.com (formerly Avivo Corporation) also provides search statistics and analysis for the searches performed on your content.

The actual search facilities are impressive. They include the ability to try synonyms, automatic word endings, phonetic searches for finding words based on how they sound and target documents that are pegged to specific search terms. The search facilities also allow for misspelling!

The deal for using Atomz.com's facilities is that the search pages are all branded with the company logo (which is not too bad looking), and the service is free for sites with up to 500 pages and 5,000 searches per month. After that, the pricing is reasonable.

If you pay for the service you can opt to keep the Atomz.com branding off of the search results.

Definitely worth looking at if you have a public Web site and don't want to mess around with implementing one of the end-to-end search engines.
