Warp Solutions next week is planning to release upgrades to its Warp 2063e edge appliance as well as to the Warp 2063 application preprocessor. Both devices are aimed at boosting the performance of your Web infrastructure.

They cache static and dynamic content, use compression and do TCP/IP session offloading to reduce the strain on your network.

Next week Warp is unveiling Warp 2063e v3. Version 3 adds partial page caching to the mix. Greg Parker - CTO at Warp Solutions and formerly president and CEO of SpiderSoftware, which merged with Warp last year - says partial page caching will greatly enhance the ability to speed dynamic Web applications.

With partial page caching, parts of a page can be cached, and the rest of the page can be updated more frequently. That way, dynamic applications, such as a catalog Web pages, for example, can be updated without having to serve up an entirely new page.

The Warp 2063 application preprocessor has also been enhanced with this partial-page caching capability. Other updates to the Warp2063e include advanced clustering so that the device can be administered, configured and managed across a group of servers.

The Warp 22063e v3 and the Warp 2063 v3 are both available beginning next week, and pricing starts at $30,000 per device.
