Write this down. WiMax will ultimatley hold the venerated place on the tech shelf beside, windows 95a and Millenium. It seems that staff writers and the wimax industry are trying to write or will this technology into the production market. Very, very and very simply put. WiMax cost of deployment is WAYYYY too high to EVER become viable in a commercial market. Did I say ever? Because of this prohibitive cost and the fact that it does not offer ANY real and profound capabilities over existing and much more cost effective technologies. It 'wimax' will always be highly vunerable to the next best thing, which I guarantee is being developed right now. The only real measurable benefit to wimax is that it has helped depress the overall cost of WiFi deployment. Thanks
