Just curious, which version of TCP has an 8-byte header? Most traces I've seen use the 20-byte (160 bit) header. And then of course there's the variable option/padding section, but that would make the problem unsolvable. Perhaps Mr. Venezia meant a UDP header? Or perhaps he needs to brush up on TCP.
